For a person this crazy about the all-time glorious chickpea-sesame concoction, I can’t help but find the insanely small amount of hummus recipes on this blog very disgraceful.
If you’ve ever seen me in real life:
a) I can’t help but feel sorry for you because I have the highest-pitched voice ever and I’ve probably given you one or two headaches.
b) You’ll probably have noticed that I’m always either talking about hummus, dipping carrots & crackers on hummus, eating hummus off a spoon or maybe thinking about GoT (which, in my honest opinion, would get even better with the addition of some hummus action between all that fighting)
Honestly, I do think it’s weird that, having had this blog for over two years, I have only posted a hummus recipe… and it wasn’t even an epic one like this paprika hummus here. Where are my priotities?
More hummus-making and less Netflix u Consuelo.
Or more hummus-making, more Netflix and less homework… how great would that be and where do I sign up for it?
Speaking about homework (can I have a collective “UUUUGH”), I’d like to say sorry about my absence here… As you guys can imagine, university is been 1000 level crazy lately, which left me to close to no time to blog, sleep and even do laundry. Although if we’re going to be completely honest with each other, it’s not as if I needed an excuse not to do laundry.
Good thing is that I’m back with an epic hummus recipe which I think you’ll guys go nuts for! So creamy and smooth, with a hint of smoky spice thanks to the paprika and the goodness of olive oil and toasted tahini. May I get an “AWH YESSSS”?
Aaaaand it tastes out-of-this-world delicious paired with my foolproof thyme crackers. Want the recipe? I’ll post it tomorrow. Worry not, this time is not as if I could procrastinate my way out of it, because it’s actually my homework. The fun part, where we get to taste hummus and crackers… not the physics part which makes you want to throw your laptop and books off the highest cliff.
1 month more of physics and then I’m FREEEEE.
I’ll be sure to whip up some hummus to throw a wild, wild celebration party. You + me + hummus + GoT. You up?
- 400 grams cooked chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 2 tbsp. dark tahini
- 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- juice from half a lemon
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth. That's it - so easy!
- If your blender isn't strong enough, you might want to add 1 tbsp. of water or oil.
