Hello everyone! I really cannot believe it’s been SO long since we last talked, but exams have kept me one busy bee. Actually, I’m still one super busy gal, with 5 exams to take next week.
(Please send help. And cookies. And coffee. Lots of coffee. Okay actually not that much coffee since I’ve been having way too many cups lately and it’s probably killing me inside. Who knows. Is there a limit? I’m pretty sure I’m way over the limit anyway. SO. MUCH. COFFEE)
Anyway, I got to find a couple of spare minutes between all the studying & not-sleeping I’ve been doing lately so here’s a new post with some quick and delicious snack ideas for those times when you’re feeling:
- starVING WILL ANYONE GET U SOME FOOD FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS SACRED
- About to throw yourself off a really hilly hill due to all the stress (and also because u hungry)
- Seriously can we make these exams
So hey yes, here’s this incredibly delicious berry chia pudding! Easy to make (all it takes is for you to whisk some stuff in a bowl and NOT TO DROP YOUR OPENED CHIA BAG ON THE FLOOR, trust me, you so do not want to do that), quick (5 minutes to put this wonder together and you can go back to the torture room I mean study room whoops) and flippin’ delicious.
I mean: berries and vanilla? That’s like 1000000000 delicious points. Okay make it 10000000000000, that’s how fantastic this pudding is. Also, I really cannot get over how creamy chia pudding is. Shouldn’t I make it more often? Yes I should!!! I just keep forgetting about it but NOT ANYMORE. I’m so adding this beauty to my weekly snack rotation. Especially because it’s super easy to make and I’m one lazy gal.
Do you want to know what the best part is?
THERE’S SO MUCH NUTRITION IN THIS.
Like, chia seeds are supposed to make you a really smart human so you bet your life I’m putting them in all of my meals, because these fluid dynamics exams aren’t going to pass themselves (boy I wish they did!!!). Also, I added some of this True Beauty mix (not that I need it I mean hello? My mum says I’m the beautiful-est-iest girl ever ha ha ha) which is packed with health benefits and lots of great stuff (minerals & vitamins come to me!!!!). It also adds fantastic berry flavour to anything you could want. I wouldn’t add it to fish or something like that because, let’s be honest: it sounds disgusting… But I can assure it’s great on all things porridge, yogurt and smoothie.
And of course: chia pudding!
Need more snack ideas? Here are some of my current favs:
Soy yogurt + fruit + granola: shamefully easy to make, easier to devour and always delicious!
Also, smoothie bowls are the absolute bomb and they feel like one sinful treat even though they’re SO good for you! The combo pictured above (not right above, that’s yogurt u silly billy) is frozen bananas + frozen berries + more of that True Beauty mix by Natural Mojo and your fav sweetner. You’re welcome!
Next on the list: quick juices! Forget juice-makers (they rock but they take soooo long to wash!) and mix some lemon juice, agave and green powder of your choice (I live for Natural Mojo’s Pure Detox). It also works great if it’s some fruit juice (pineapple & watermelon are lovely) + Natural Mojo’s Berry Boost. Such a quick and energising treat!
And if you’re in the mood for something savoury? Try avo on corncakes + chilli flakes + sea salt + extra virgin olive oil or cold veggie pizza OR my ultimate fav: snack salads. Lots of raw vegs, protein (cold, leftover tofu is great), all the carbzzzz (I don’t know if you have realised but yeah I love cold stuff and cool spuds are no exception) and some groovy dressing and you’re golden!
Hope you’ll like these ideas! Let me know if you try them! And don’t forget to give the chia pudding a go!
