This, my friends, is the epitome of a perfect smoothie combo.
First of all, it’s made with relatively cheap ingredients, aka no expensive powders or things that are super hard to find in a regular supermarket.
It’s also super nutritious thanks to the nutrition powerhouses that beets are (fiber, folate, manganese, potassium, iron and vitamin C, helloooo?? I want them all!). Plus berries are also filled with anti-oxidants and low in sugar if you’re watching how much you’re eating – everybody wins!
And that colour? How much more gorgeous can it get???? I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: I absolutely adore berry-based smoothies – that deep purply pink colour is seriously to die for! Add some beetroot for an extra ruby red touch and prepare yourself to be amazed. Seriously: I’ve been staring at my smoothie for like the past forty-seven minutes!!! Help!!!
Then there’s the fact that this smoothie is absolutely delicious. Berries add a lovely tang that you’re going to adore paired with a bit of banana for some extra natural sweetness. What else? Add some raw beetroot for an earthy touch and a bit of cashew rice milk to make the smoothie super creamy! I like to make my own mylk, but you can honestly use whatever you have on hand. I’m guessing coconut milk would add a fantastic hint of sweetness, and you can’t ever go wrong with rice milk in smoothies either! Whatever floats your boat, mate. This smoothie is so good that anything goes well with it.
Probably not chicken broth… but then again, who the flip adds chicken broth to their smoothie?? Blergh.
Also, you know how I’m all bananas for toppings? (especially if they’re tiny cute banana coins – see what I did there??). Everything works for me, from fresh fruit (MANGO THOUGH!!!! SO JUICY!!!! SO GOOD!!!!) to chia seeds, granola, nuts, dried fruit, chocolate or peanut butter… I just want them all!!!!
As you see, this recipe couldn’t be any easier to make. So get yourself busy (for like 6 minutes only because yes, this is that simple to make!) and enjoy the most wonderful smoothie bowl there’s even been. Orrrrrr add a bit more of mylk and get yourself a tall glass of smoothie. Again: whatever float that boat of yours.
Ain’t no smoothie bowl police. Whatever you do with it is fine with me. Unless you go for chicken broth, then you’re very dead to me. BYE.
Really, bye. There’s a heat dynamics summary which needs to get done asap so I’m going to leave you here! Enjoy one of these for me, please!
